Ron Bath Praises Matt Mask As "The Future" Of WAL's 225 lb Right Hand Division

February 28th 2017

2015 WAL 4th Place Right Hand Champion "The Legend" Ron Bath recently won the 225 lb Right Hand division at WAL's 2017 Battle Of The Bayou Majors Event in New Orleans, LA.

Earlier in the night Ron lost the 225 lb Left Hand divison finals to fellow WAL favorite Matt Mask. After his win Mask let everyone know that while he was happy for the win he had flown all the way from Canada to beat Ron in the 225 lb Right Hand division finals.

Mask would ultimately come up short later in the night as Bath was able to edge out Mask 3-0 in a best-of-five match in the 225 lb Right Hand finals.

Ron then had the following to say to the live crowd, "Every win I get on Matt is a blessing. He is the future of this class. It's great to get motivated to pull him. The way he's building this... June 29th at the finals in Vegas it's going to be very interesting in that class. I'll warn him that there's another Canadian, Devon Larratt, and he needs to work on it. He might even be going down to third or fourth. You won't be on that wall Matt Mask." Bath then pointed to the wall on the main stage filled with giant posters adorned by the current WAL Champions including Larratt.

WAL's next Major's Event will be this Saturday at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, PA
