INTERESTING FACT OR EXPERIENCE THAT HELPED SHAPE LIFE: Vertalka was homeschooled from 1st - 12th grade by his mother. During that time, he met tons of lifelong friends through other home school groups.  According to Vertalka, "Being homeschooled allowed me to get school work out of the way faster, giving me more time to work at my father's shop and more free time for armwrestling training."    
UNIQUE FACT: Vertalka plays piano, he used to have long hair down to his waist, and since he was fourteen years-old, he could beat all of his friends' dads in armwrestling.
