About Niklas Nannestad
Nannestad, a Swedish native, has been competing professionally since 2004. His father was a multi-time Swedish National Champion, who would compete against and train with WAL competitor Erica Bengtssons father, Lennart Andersson in the 1980’s.
Besides having arguably the best nicknames in the game, Nannestad brings a 6-foot 4-inch frame to the table, with long arms and leverage, this makes pulling against Nannestad a difficult task for even the most seasoned and celebrated WAL Middleweights. In 2016 Nannestad rocked the WAL by beating Mike Selearis in the WAL Middleweight Left Hand Championship Final, taking his first ever hammer in the competition and crowning himself at the very top of the WAL elite.
Despite winning the WAL 2016 Left Hand Middleweight Championships, Nannestads’s favorite armwrestling memory remains pulling Cobra Rhodes in a 2011 Supermatch. Niklas lost the match 2-4 to Cobra but has fond memories of competing against one of his favorite armwrestlers ever for the first time.
Nannestad is married with two sons.
