About Mike Selearis
Selearis started armwrestling in the middle school cafeteria. When he was 16, he saw an armwrestling tournament take place at a street fair. He tried to register to compete, but it was too late. Two weeks later, as luck would have it, there was another tournament at the Queens World’s Fair where he did compete. He got slammed by armwrestling pros at the event. That’s when he started training with a vengeance.
In 1996, Selearis attended a tournament and swept right through his weight class taking 1st place with ease. Shortly after, he realized he had just won the Nationals and qualified to compete in the World Championships where he went on to compete and took second place. “My biggest rivalry is overcoming the plague of succumbing to second place. Although I have always dominated most of my opponents, I have been crowned with more 2nd place trophies that I can count”.
He trains his hand in almost all exercises. According to Selearis, it’s all about the way the bar is held. He duplicates the precise position for each armwrestling technique using steel, cables, rubber, rocks or anything else that stands before him.  The benefit is that they don't tire out, so I can rep it out 100 or 1000 times.

Motto: “I see myself win the matches over and over. See it. Believe it. Achieve it.”
