INTERESTING FACT OR EXPERIENCE THAT HELPED SHAPE LIFE: Handeland fractured his hamate bones in both his left and right hands while armwrestling. His orthopedic doctor told him he was the only patient he knew who broke their hamate bones in both hands. He had surgery twice. When he started competing, armwrestling was dead in Minnesota, so he formed a team and started holding tournaments. He’s known as the Head of Minnesota Armwrestling.
