INTERESTING FACT OR EXPERIENCE THAT HELPED SHAPE LIFE: Handeland fractured his hamate bones in both his left and right hands while arm-wrestling. His orthopedic doctor told him he was the only patient he knew who broke their hamate bones in both hands. He had surgery twice. When he started competing, arm-wrestling was dead in Minnesota, so he formed a team and started holding tournaments. He’s known as the Head of Minnesota Arm-wrestling.
