INTERESTING FACT OR EXPERIENCE THAT HELPED SHAPE LIFE: Coyle started armwrestling in 1967 in college when he found out that “he could win a lot of beer for a little guy.” When he had his first child, he took a break from the sport for 20 years. In 2000, Dan Whittle and Mike Kauk called Coyle asking to teach them how to armwrestle. He still had one year to work, so he told them to call him back in a year if they were serious. A year to the day, he received a phone call from them. They set up a practice and have been pulling every week since.

UNIQUE FACT: His age. Coyle says, “I remember thinking that Al Turner was ancient back in the 70s when I was pulling and he was only 52!!! I’m 65!”

MOTTO: “STAY NATURAL (and see how long I can stay competitive.)”
