INTERESTING FACT OR EXPERIENCE THAT HELPED SHAPE LIFE: Coyle started arm-wrestling in 1967 in college when he found out that “he could win a lot of beer for a little guy.” When he had his first child, he took a break from the sport for 20 years. In 2000, Dan Whittle and Mike Kauk called Coyle asking to teach them how to arm-wrestle. He still had one year to work, so he told them to call him back in a year if they were serious. A year to the day, he received a phone call from them. They set up a practice and have been pulling every week since.

UNIQUE FACT: His age. Coyle says, “I remember thinking that Al Turner was ancient back in the 70s when I was pulling and he was only 52!!! I’m 65!”
